Second Shooting
Attire: Please dress in at least business casual attire. No all-white shirts or pants. No jeans, t-shirts, shorts, revealing clothing or short dresses. I typically wear black jumpsuits and black dress sneakers with my hair in a bun.
Client Interaction: Unless you’re told otherwise, please direct all client questions or concerns to me on the day of the wedding. Please refrain from swearing or making lewd remarks or jokes. Absolutely NO drinking alcohol on the clock.
Creative Direction: Unless I ask you for help or ideas, please allow me to be the creative lead when composing photos with the couple.
Image Use: Please do not post any photos before 8 weeks from the day of the wedding. After 8 weeks, you may use on social media and in your portfolio, but you may not tag the clients. You may not use imagery for monetary gain in any sort of contest or competition.
Client Communication: Absolutely NO contact with the client regarding the gallery or final images after the wedding day. If a client contacts you regarding their gallery or images, please always refer them back to me.
Shooting: I will provide SD memory cards for you to shoot on. I typically favor my 35mm and 85mm lenses, so a 50mm or a longer zoom lens (100mm+) is usually a good option for you to be shooting with. Here are the types of images I like my second shooters to capture:
Bridal Party Photos: Details and closeups of bouquets, shoes, hands, etc. Not everyone has to be in frame.
Bride & Groom Photos: Different perspectives/lens length from mine, close up details of hands, rings, dress details, bouquet, etc.
Ceremony: Unique perspectives, vantage points, and emotions of parents/family and other guests.
Reception: Guests reactions during entrances, speeches, dances, etc. Also any opportunity to photograph groups of guests together mingling or at tables is great (I know, the worssssttt).
